The Commons includes public author profiles and book catalogue information. If you are an author, MyBibliotheca lets you submit a claim for a matching profile, or provide your published author name when you cannot find one. Claims are reviewed before an approved author page can be edited.

Submit a claim with clear references

Create and verify a MyBibliotheca account, then open The Commons from the account menu and choose Claim your author profile. Search for your published name. If the right author record appears, select it; otherwise continue with the name you publish under.

A claim includes two references, with up to three allowed. A retailer or book sales page plus your official website or social profile can help show the connection between you and the author name. The claim remains pending until reviewed, and MyBibliotheca sends the result to your account email. Submit one claim at a time.

Keep your public profile and catalogue current

After approval, open the author page from Settings and choose Edit MyBibliotheca profile. You can update a biography, profile photo URL, genres, website and social links, and release dates. The public catalogue can include books that are missing from catalog providers; add their ISBN and available metadata, a cover, description, and genres.

Books from catalog providers can appear automatically. Uploaded indie-author covers are reviewed before they appear in The Commons.
