Import a Goodreads or StoryGraph Library into MyBibliotheca

If you are moving from Goodreads or StoryGraph, you do not have to rebuild your book list by hand. MyBibliotheca imports CSV files and gives you a review step to check what each column means before it adds books to your library.

Bring over more than book titles

A CSV needs a title column. When your export includes them, you can also map author, ISBN, reading status, rating, notes, and start or finish dates. The import screen shows detected columns so you can correct a guess, leave an unavailable field unmapped, and preview sample values.

The import is staged first. Nothing is added during the initial upload; you confirm the mappings and choose the final import step after reviewing the preview. This gives you a chance to catch a swapped date column or an incorrectly detected status before the records reach your library.

What happens to statuses and dates?

Source status labels are normalized into MyBibliotheca’s Reading, Up next, Plan to read, Finished, and DNF shelves when a matching status is available. Goodreads exports a Date Read value rather than separate start and finish dates, so MyBibliotheca uses Date Read as the finish date. Other CSV sources can map their start and finish date columns separately.

Rows with a title can still be imported when an ISBN is missing. Keep the original export until you have checked the result. MyBibliotheca accepts UTF-8 CSV files up to 10 MB; if a spreadsheet program changed the file format, export a fresh CSV from the source service.

After the import, you can continue adding books, correct individual details, and choose reading preferences in Settings.
