Highlights often make more sense when you can find them beside the book they came from. The MyBibliotheca KOReader plugin sends saved highlights and notes from the current ebook directly to your account, where they can appear on the matching book page.

A direct connection from KOReader

Install the complete mybibliotheca.koplugin folder in KOReader’s plugins directory and restart KOReader. In the plugin’s Configure connection screen, use https://mybibliotheca.org/notes and the dedicated KOReader sync credentials you created in MyBibliotheca Settings. These are separate from your MyBibliotheca sign in password.

Open the book in KOReader, choose the MyBibliotheca highlights plugin, and send that book’s highlights. The reader reports how many annotations were accepted. In MyBibliotheca, open the linked book and expand Highlights and notes to review the saved items.

Link the right book before relying on it

MyBibliotheca links an uploaded document automatically only when its title and author identify exactly one book in your library. If the document is ambiguous or does not match, its annotations stay private in your account until you choose the correct library book in Settings. Linking annotations does not create a duplicate book or change reading progress.

The plugin sends annotations to MyBibliotheca directly; it does not require Readwise. If you already use Readwise, that is a separate integration for importing highlights that are stored there.
